An enjoyable, if forgettable, follow-up Review by Ryan

Having thoroughly enjoyed Infinity Gauntlet, I was interested to see how its sequel, Infinity War, held up. It's an enjoyable read, featuring all manner of things: superheroes, evil clones, the Infinity Gems, Thanos, Adam Warlock, and the dark Magus, that comes together to form a pretty coherent story. Starlin's writing is again good to read, and the various characters all feel like individuals rather than one entity. However, it's slightly disappointing when compared to its predecessor. The plot isn't as original, and relies too much on Infinity Gauntlet's story to back it up. The Magus is a good villain, but doesn't hold a candle to the Mad Titan. That being said, it's a fun comic, and I'd still recommend reading it if you enjoyed Infinity Gauntlet. (Posted on 14/04/2021)
