James Tynion has stepped up his game for Rebirth with a really solid new direction. Review by Aryeh

Batman's most interesting element is not himself... nor his villains even. It's the Bat-Family, a supporting cast developed over the years. The idea of a Bat-Family team book is a long time coming, especially hot off the heels of Batman Eternal. James Tynion has been a pretty decent writer with work on titles such as Talon. With Detective Rebirth, like many writers, he has stepped up his game significantly. Detective has rightly become one of the most wanted titles from Rebirth, as it's got solid storytelling, pacing and art too. It gives good focus on the various Bat-Family members, not having one take too much spotlight. However, it's certainly very good as a Batwoman story too and a must-read for fans of Kate Kane. It also continues the plot from New 52 Batwoman with Clayface becoming a good guy and it works really well. The ending of this particularly volume is a big one and very important for fans of the big Rebirth mysteries, as well as containing very emotional moments. For people wanting to jump on a Bat book in the Rebirth era, this is the first choice in my opinion. (Posted on 22/05/2017)
