Dan Boultwood
Dan Boultwood is a critically acclaimed illustrator, comic artist and occasional writer. In a career that has spanned more than a decade, he has worked on projects for Sony, Warner Bros., Budweiser and Eidos Interactive, where he is best known for the cover artwork for the award-winning, top-selling game TimeSplitters 2. In comics, he has worked for publishers in both the U.K. and U.S., including a satirical, pulp-series comedy The Gloom and the action/adventure Agent Mom for MTV Comics. Boultwood also worked on the supernatural thriller Hope Falls (Markosia) and the teen spy adventure Danger Academy (Kickstart Entertainment), which is now in development as a television show in the U.S. He co-created Sherlock Holmes: The Baker Street Irregulars and a series of acclaimed adaptions of Anthony Horowitz’s Horowitz Horror titled Horowitz Graphic Horror (Franklin Watts), and he co-created the weekly comic The Prince of Baghdad (The DFC/Random House Children’s Books). He has also provided additional material for comics including Starship Troopers (Sony/Markosia) and Phonogram (Image Comics). In 2013, he both wrote and drew the critically acclaimed 1950s B-movie graphic novel It Came for Titan Comics, and he is currently working on a sequel, Lost Valley of the Lost. He also created Haggis and Quail Are on the Trail and Squid Squad as strips for the weekly comic The Phoenix (David Fickling Books) and is the comic adaptor of Dirk Lloyd, based on Jamie Thomson’s Dark Lord: The Teenage Years. He lives in a house in London with his 22-year-old goldfish for company.
