Another underwhelming Spencer story... Review by Ryan

Unfortunately for fans, Nick Spencer's reveal of the identity of Kindred was, in my opinion, very anti-climatic. No spoilers here, but the reveal of this character being the demon who's been terrorizing Peter Parker's life the last two years, to me, appears to be another one of those stories that Spencer is going to have trouble explaining in a satisfyingly way (here's hoping I'm proved wrong!). Kindred is still incredibly threatening and creepy, and is still well written. However, the many questions that arise from Last Remains (mostly surrounding the villain's identity) are one's that will take a long time to answer, and I fear the writer will not deliver for his fans.
Like Sins Rising, this is another story that has a killer premise, a lot of promise, but not a lot of weight in its delivery. (Posted on 25/02/2021)
