John Buscema Original Art - John Buscema started out as an avid reader of Prince Valiant, Flash Gordon and Tarzan comics. Classic newspaper comics inspired him to begin his career in 1948 at Timely Comics, which later became Marvel. Buscema stayed on the staff of Timely for a year and a half, and afterwards he worked freelance for a variety of companies. It was from this epoch that he worked on titles like 'Roy Rogers' and 'The Deputy'. The late John Buscema to me was Conan. So forgive me if you do not agree but Conan pages are what you are going to be seeing over the coming weeks. The power of movement and positions of characters were just amazing as Buscema kept every panel interesting. His layouts were amazing and you can see just how much thought went into this, a craft that is sadly lacking in many of todays comics.
