Bernie Wrightson Original Art - Berni (or Bernie) Wrightson is a famous artist of horror comics. He did a correspondence course with the Famous Artists School in Connecticut and began his career as an editorial cartoonist of the Baltimore Sun in 1968. He joined DC Comics the same year, and settled in New York. His first comics appeared in DC's 'House of Mystery' and Marvel's 'Chamber of Darkness'. He created 'Swamp Thing' with writer Len Wein in the House of Secrets comic book, and the feature got its own title in 1972. He worked on the comic until 1974, the year he joined Warren Publishing. He formed a studio with fellow artists Barry Windsor-Smith, Jeff Jones and Michael Kaluta and cooperated on magazines like Heavy Metal, Eerie and Creepy.
