The new art team of Joe Bennett (BIRDS OF PREY, Captain America & The Falcon) & Ruy Jose takes flight for the start of a storyline that promises to take the classic DC character on a year-long ride that he may not survive! Hawkman and Hawkgirl face unspeakable horrors as a ghost ship bearing mysterious cargo arrives in the port of St. Roch, while a riot breaks out at Belle Reve prison. Several of Hawkman’s forgotten foes gather in secret, as a sorcerer unleashes an army of flesh-eating zombies on the unsuspecting populace of St. Roch, and a tower of darkness rises to seal off the city from the outside world! It’s the beginning of a year of hell for Hawkman, and the hero's journey takes him to places he never wanted to go!
